Will my licence issuing authority accept the AEPS certificate?

Yes. Individual Civil Aviation Authorities (CAAs) apply the principle of mutual recognition of ELP Certificates in compliance with European regulations.

How do I create an account on AEPS.AERO?

Click "login" in the top right-hand corner of the home screen.

Next, click on "Sign Up". You will then be taken to our licensing wizard to ensure that your licence issuing authority accepts our certificate (as described in question 1).

Once you have completed the wizard, you will be taken to the "create account" page,where you can input all of your information.

Once the form is submitted, you will receive a link by e-mail* which you need to click on to activate your account.

When you have activated your account, you can log in using your e-mail address and password, as shown below:

If you have still not received your activation e-mail after a few minutes, check your spam folder, as some providers may incorrectly identify it as spam.

I’ve forgotten my password. What do I do?

You can reset your password from the login page, by clicking on CLICK HERE as shown below.

Can I sign up for a test or a course without creating an account?

No. You must create an account before signing up to any of our services. Creating an account allows us to automatically issue your certificate after your test.

How do I sign up for a test?

The first thing to do is create an account on AEPS.AERO (as described in question 3).

Once you have created your account and signed into it, there are two ways to sign up for a test:

Directly from your account homepage:

After logging into your account, click on the button marked "BOOK A TEST"
This will take you straight to the test calendar.

Through the calendar:

Click on BOOK NOW! button at the top of this page to access the calendar.

The calendar will display all tests and courses available*. Select the one you are interested in, and then click on “Info and registration”.

To sign up for your chosen course or test, click on CLICK TO REGISTER. You will be taken to an options page and then to the payment page.

There are two ways of paying:

  1. DIRECT BANK TRANSFER: payment by bank transfer

    If you choose this option, you will receive an e-mail with our bank details.

    Please be aware that if you select this payment method, your sign-up will only be confirmed once payment has been received in our account.

    We will send you an e-mail once payment has been received.

  2. PAY NOW: Immediate payment by credit or debit card.

    If you pay by card, your sign-up will be confirmed straight away. Our operations department will send you an e-mail with your test time, at the latest 48h before the date of your chosen session.

Can I pay by card?

Yes

Can I pay by bank transfer?

Yes, but please be aware that your test will not be confirmed until the funds have been paid into our account. Depending on your country, this can take up to five working days.

What does DIRECT BANK TRANSFER mean?

If you click on the DIRECT BANK TRANSFER button, your sign-up will be provisionally confirmed pending payment. You will receive an e-mail with our bank details. Please be aware that your test/course will not be fully confirmed until the funds have reached our bank.

What does the PAY NOW button mean?

If you click on PAY NOW, you will be taken to our secure card payment page. This is the fastest and easiest way to pay, and your test/course will be confirmed instantly. Payment services are provided by our partner Worldine.

When will I receive my test time?

Our operations department will send you an e-mail with the time of your test at the latest 48 hours before your test. If you intend to sign up very close to the test date (i.e. the day before), please contact us by telephone or e-mail first, to check that we have space left and to confirm your test time.

I have signed up to a course, do I also have to sign up to a test?

Yes, in order for our system to issue your certificate, you also need to sign up to a test session. Your teacher will provide guidance on this if necessary.

I have purchased a course which includes the test. How do I sign up to a test without having to pay again?

When your course also includes the cost of your test, you will be given a voucher which you can input into the test sign-up form. This voucher will reduce the amount payable to zero.

The sign-up procedure is the same as detailed in question 5. The only difference is that you need to input the voucher number and click on “OK” to reduce the amount payable to zero.

You can then click on “Pay Now” to complete your sign-up.

How do I obtain an invoice?

Once payment has been made, you can download your invoice directly from your AEPS account.*

If you pay by card, your invoice will be generated straight away. If you pay by another means, the invoice may take a few days to appear.

I have just passed my exam. How do I get my certificate?

You can download your certificate directly from your AEPS account.

I have passed my test. When will I receive my certificate?

Congratulations! Please note that the validation of your result can take up to 72 hours.

However, if you need the certificate immediately following your exam, please let us know in advance and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

I urgently need my ELP certificate. Can I ask for an express delivery ?

Yes, you can ask for an express delivery of your certificate when registering for the assessment.
You just need to select the time in which you wish to receive your certificate.

Will I be charged for an express delivery service of my ELP Certificate ?

Yes, you will. You will find our price list for the different specific services when registering for your assessment on our platform.

What is the point in asking for one of your express delivery services?

Our express delivery services allow you to get your certificate when you really need it.

Which course should I choose?

To provide the course best suited to your needs, we first need to know your current level of English and your knowledge of standard radio phraseology. We also need to know your precise goals (i.e. level 4, 5 or 6).

How can I assess my current level of English?

AEPS provides a number of solutions:

Is it compulsory to take lessons before taking an English proficiency test?

No.

I need a level 5. Should I take lessons before the test?

Remember the five P’s: Prior Preparation Prevents Poor Performance!

While it is not compulsory to take lessons, our courses help pilots to prepare for the specific exercises involved in our test.

Even if you are relatively comfortable in English, people who have had just a small amount of preparation tend to perform better than those who have had none.

What level of certificate can AEPS issue?

Levels 4, 5, and 6.

Do I need to be a native English speaker to achieve level 6 ?

No.

REMOTE ELP TEST

What is the Remote ELP test?

It is the remote version of the AEPS ELP on-site test.

Is my level of English Proficiency assessed by a computer?

No, it isn’t. Just like the on-site test, the remote test is led by two “human” examiners.

Does the content of the remote test differ from the content of the on-site test ?

No, not at all.

Is the remote assessment more difficult than the on-site assessment ?

No, it isn’t. Only the conditions are different, as they are adapted to the web environment.

How long does a remote assessment last on average?

A remote assessment can last between 25 and 30 minutes.
